Certain buildings in the European Union and United Kingdom are required to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to measure their energy performance. Owners cannot sell or lease their buildings without a valid EPC. EPCs are also required to comply with the EU Taxonomy and SFDR, mandatory EU regulations that are widely used by investors to ensure that they are funding sustainable activities.
With Measurabl's EPC tracking tool, you can see which buildings need EPCs added and previous EPC entries. Here's how:
How do I enter my EPCs?
- From the Measurabl landing page when you log in, click on the 'Sites' page on the left menu. Click the 'Compliance' tab at the top of the page.
- From there, you will see a table at the top for 'Regulations'. This is where you can see all of the buildings in your portfolio required to obtain an EPC.
-For buildings that have EPCs entered, the expiration date of the most recently issued EPC that is entered in Measurabl will be shown. EPCs closest to expiration will be displayed at the top of the table.
- Select the 'Enter EPC' in the table to add a new EPC.
-
This will open a window for you to fill out the EPC information. Enter in the necessary information and click 'Save'.
NOTE: EPCs will be saved in the Certifications & Ratings page at the property. You will be able to see the EPC data both within the building-level 'Certifications & Ratings' table and in the 'Regulations' table accessible from the 'Sites' tab.
