Ensuring that your property has accurately designated spaces/areas and occupancy readings is important for correctly assigning meters as well as third party reporting purposes. Below will go through on how to add each of these building characteristics.
How to Add Occupancy Readings:
Initially, we recommend entering at least two occupancy readings, one average occupancy rate for each of the last two years. Having occupancy figures available for the past two years is key for third-party reporting. From there, we recommend adding a new occupancy rate any time a new tenant moves in or an existing tenant moves out.
- From the Measurabl landing page, click the 'Sites' tab > Type & select your property.
- Click the 'Edit' button to the right of the site name.
- Click on the 'Control' tab > Be sure the control type is correct (owned/leased). If owned, you will be able to add your occupancy readings.
- Click the green + button in the Occupancy section > Enter the date & rate > Click '+ Add'.
NOTE if you have many occupancy readings to enter, you can use our Site Supplement Bulk Upload Template, found here.
How to Add Spaces:
The Spaces tool in Measurabl allows you to designate the spaces within your site that can be leased to tenants - You can add as many spaces as needed. Note that the total 'Gross Leasable Area' will sum the floor area of each of the leasable spaces you've added & The 'Gross Floor Area' will sum the leasable and common area spaces.
