Using data science and machine learning, Measurabl immediately alerts you of intensity outliers and year-over-year variations in your utility data. These alerts help you pinpoint and address potential data quality concerns.
UTILIZING DATA QUALITY ALERTS
- Click on the "Sites" tab.
- Click on the "Data Quality Alerts" banner to view all alerts, OR click on the desired site.
- Click on the "Data Quality Alerts" tab of an individual site to view site-specific alerts.
- Click on an alert within a site to add, edit, or view notes.
NOTE: Leaving a note explaining why the anomaly or outlier exists will help to ensure the quality of your data.
How do the Data Quality Alerts work?
Data Quality Alerts notify users of intensity outliers and YoY variation in their utility data (refreshed nightly). Measurabl's algorithms are constantly combing data to ensure these types of inconsistencies are found and addressed.
If there's a reason for the anomaly or outlier, how do I communicate that?
After navigating to your site and clicking on the "Data Quality Alerts" tab, clicking on an alert will allow you to add/edit notes. The more specific, the better.
If I don't know the reason for the anomaly or outlier, then what?
Instances like this are why Data Quality Alerts are so crucial. Our "Portfolio Trends" and "Site Trends" tabs provide granular level data that can be filtered by metric. You will want to find and resolve the outlier, which could involve editing manual reading entries that were added incorrectly.
What will trigger a data quality alert?
The following will trigger data quality alerts within Measurabl (all alerts are based on annual consumption and are triggered for a specific utility type, i.e. electric, gas, fuel oil, water, not for all utilities combined). These thresholds are the same for all sites regardless of property type and country.
