The Complete Guide to Data Exports

You can export performance reports from Measurabl at either the portfolio level or the site level. These reports provide useful insights into how your sites have performed over time and will help you prioritize where to focus your efforts to improve sustainability across your portfolio. They’ll also let you take your data offline and easily share it with others, both internally and externally.

Here’s a list of the reports (and where to download them)- feel free to jump through the article below for information on how to pull the report you’re most interested in.

You can export all of these reports from the "Reports" tab except for the Trends report and the meter report.

Portfolio-level reports

  • Sustainability Performance Report (Portfolio Overview, Reports)
  • Data Quality Report (Reports)
  • Measurabl Trends (Portfolio Trends)
  • Measurabl Sites Report (Sites, Reports)

Site-level reports

  • Sustainability Performance Report (Site Overview, Reports)
  • Meter Report (Utilities)

Portfolio-level reports

This report is in PDF form and includes high-level trend analysis of sustainability performance across energy, water, and waste, together with breakdowns of the portfolio by property type, capped off with "percent complete" figures of any third-party reports in your account.

Trends Report

Available metrics include total energy/water usage, energy/water use intensity, energy/water cost, energy/water cost intensity, emissions, emissions intensity, ENERGY STAR 1-100 score, Peer Benchmark, and more.

The metrics and timeframes displayed will depend on the options you choose in the dropdown menus at the top of the page (above the graph). For example, when you choose “All Energy Usage” the default metrics listed are total energy usage and total energy use intensity (energy use per square foot) for the two annual periods chosen at the top of the page, plus the percentage change between the two years.

You can add/remove columns from the table by clicking the "Columns" icon and checking/unchecking the various fields until you’ve included those metrics you want to review, then download to csv.

Data Quality Report

The Data Quality Report offers a very detailed view of your data by site. It includes all basic data on your sites and meters, annual total energy/water use and cost, fuel-specific annual use and cost, GHG emissions (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Tenant Scope 3), Peer Benchmark, and annual/monthly usage totals for each meter. The report also shows you the % change in annual use/cost between the two years you’re evaluating, which can help you flag potential data quality issues.

To download the report, go to the "Reports" tab as shown below.

Sites Report

If you click on the "Sites" tab, you’ll see a table listing out basic information for all sites, including site name, location, type, floor area, and status of each site’s data syncing. You can click the "Columns" icon to customize which fields appear in the table. You can download the table to a csv file there, as well as in the "Reports" tab.

Site-level reports

Site sustainability performance report

From the Sites tab, click on a site’s row in the Sites table to open up a specific site.

On the Site Overview page, you can click to export a report on that site. You can also download these site-specific reports from the "Reports" tab. The report is similar to the portfolio-level report shown above.

Fuel-specific site reports

Within a site’s Utilities tab, you can export reports on use data for a specific fuel (in csv). This is a good way to store usage information offline or share it with other team members- you can see individual meter readings within the app by clicking on a meter within the Utilities tab.
