This article will show you how to deactivate your utility account(s) in Utility Sync. This may apply to you if your site has changed utility providers or added new utility accounts that replaced old ones.
NOTE: When an account is deactivated, the corresponding meters will be deactivated as well, and all meter readings will be preserved and visible at the property.
How to Deactivate Utility Sync Accounts:
- From the Measurabl landing page, click on the 'Utility Sync' tab.
- Type & select the site you’d like to deactivate an account at.
- Click on the site card. Scroll down to the 'Accounts' table.
- Click on the ellipsis (...) icon to the right of the account number you want to deactivate > Click 'Deactivate Account'. Confirm deactivation.
- The account is now deactivated, and will move into the 'Deactivated Accounts' column. The associated meters on the 'Utilities' page will appear as inactive on the last read date within 24 hours.

- What does it mean exactly to deactivate my accounts?
- Deactivating a utility account(s) blocks any new data from flowing into Measurabl or ENERGY STAR, however the historical data from these accounts will remain in Measurabl and ENERGY STAR. The associated meters in Measurabl will still show up in your 'Utilities' page, but they will be marked as inactive.
