Utility Sync Accounts Template – Measurabl Help Center

This article describes the function, instructions, and header definitions of the 'Utility Sync Accounts Bulk Upload Template' in Measurabl.

FUNCTION:

To enroll multiple Utility Sync accounts at once, OR to switch a Utility Sync account type from 'linked with provider' to 'manual bill upload' (or the reverse) in bulk.

All headers that are green in the template are required fields to fill out. If it is blue, it is optional, and you can leave the cell blank. Note that some fields may be conditionally optional - meaning the field may be blue to start, but will turn green if it becomes required based on other information you add.
Make sure the building name matches exactly how it is in Measurabl.
If there is a dropdown menu in any of the cells, please use one of the options from the menu.
All dates should be in MM/DD/YYYY format.
Only input 1 line of data per row.
Please do not enter hyphens or slashes into a cell to indicate “null” or “no value”. Just leave the cell blank.
Please do not add additional columns, fields, or alter the template in any way.
Bulk uploads can not be reversed once they are processed by our team, so it is important to quality check the data before submitting it.

The column header values for this template are defined as:

Building ID (Admin) - Leave blank. Measurabl will fill this column out.
Provider Code (Admin) - Leave blank. Measurabl will fill this column out.
Building Name - Required. Enter the name exactly as it appears in Measurabl.
Utility Provider Name - Required. Ask us for a list of the Utility providers we support to input the correct provider names.
Account Number - Required. Enter the account number exactly as it is on the utility bill. 1 account number per row. Can not have the same account number at multiple sites.
Data Entry Type - Required. Choose between ‘Upload bills manually’ or ‘Sync bills from utility provider portal’.
Utility URL - Conditionally Optional. This is required if you choose the account type to be 'synced bills from utility provider'. Otherwise, leave this blank.
Username - Conditionally Optional. This is required if you choose the account type to be 'synced bills from utility provider'. Otherwise, leave this blank.
Password - Conditionally Optional. This is required if you choose the account type to be 'synced bills from utility provider'. Otherwise, leave this blank.
Notes - Optional. Notes cannot exceed 1500 characters.
Generation Account - Required. Values should be either "True" = Yes, or "False" = No. See here for more information on this - What is a generation account?
