Portfolio Managers of a Measurabl portfolio can submit a request to Measurabl Support to lock meter reading data during a specified timeframe from being changed.
Request requirements:
- Must be submitted by the portfolio manager as shown in the Users tab of Measurabl Legacy Core to ensure that the requestor has permission to lock data on the portfolio
- Include the portfolio name for which meter readings must be locked
- Include the timeframe (start and end date) during which meter readings must be locked
Measurabl will then implement the request and send confirmation via the Support ticket.
Data locks prevent:
- Edits or deletions for existing readings
- Additions of new meter readings
- Changes made in Measurabl’s software, within ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, or via Measurabl’s Connect / Bill Upload features
In this example, the [automation] test_target portfolio decides to lock 2023 calendar year data from further edits after that data was audited in Spring 2024.
- The portfolio manager shown below, qa+automation@measurabl.com, submits a request to Measurabl Support to lock meter reading data for the [automation] test_target portfolio for calendar year 2023.
- Measurabl implements the data lock and sends a confirmation within the Support ticket.
- All users with access to buildings within the locked portfolio see a message within each meter, and when attempting to add meter readings, confirming that data during the specified timeframe is locked.
- When any user attempts to make edits, deletions, or additions to meter readings within calendar year 2023, those edits are blocked. Changes to meter readings outside that timeframe save as normal.
