Reports are automated emails which can deliver helpful information to a user’s inbox on a regular schedule. There are several reports users can sign up for via the User Settings page:
-
Energy Baseline Subscription
- Often the most popular report users will sign up for. This report delivers a summary of one or more buildings’ electrical consumption compared to the predicted consumption based on the baseline model on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly cadence.
-
Measure Notifications
- Allows other users, who are not the measure assignee for a particular building, to receive notifications when a new measure has been generated for that building.
- Notification emails will be sent the morning following a new measure generation.
-
Open Measures Summary
- The Open Measure Summary report shows all outstanding measures for all buildings where a user is the measure assignee. This includes measures with the status “Waiting for Review” and “In Progress.” Once a measure has been closed it will no longer appear on this report.
- Only measure assignees will receive reports for the measures for their assigned buildings. If a user is not the measure assignee for a measure, then the user will not see those open measures in their Open Measures Summary. If a user is not the measure assignee for any open measures, then they will not receive any emails or Open Measure Summaries.
-
Missing Bills
- The Missing Bills report is only available for customers that are using Sources to enter their utility bill data. The report will check the bills entered in for the current year for any active accounts in the Sources section of the website, and will send an email at the start of each month flagging any accounts that have not had a bill entered that falls within the last 45 days. This acts as a reminder to enter in any bills each month.
Any of the above reports can be subscribed to using the approximate following steps:
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of your screen. This icon can be accessed from any page in Optimize.
- Select “User Settings”
- The “User Settings” page will appear. If a user is already subscribed to a report it will appear here, users can also delete existing subscriptions on this page.
- Select the “Add Subscription” button near the top-right corner of the screen.
- A small window will appear with the various reports a user can subscribe to. In this demonstration we will subscribe to an Energy Baseline Subscription, but the steps for other reports are similar.
- Select “Energy Baseline Subscription”.
- A new window will appear with several options to select from. Different reports may have different options to choose, but the steps will be similar:
- Period, Interval, Delivery Time: Only the “Period” of the report can be edited. This section indicates how often the selected report will be delivered, the interval of the data shown in the report, and the time of day the report will be emailed to the user’s inbox.
- Subscription Title (Optional): Users can edit the subject line title of the report’s email, if they wish. By default an “Energy Baseline Subscription” will show a subject line of “Energy Baseline Report” when being emailed, but will not have other details including building name, region, etc.
- Location: Users can choose which specific building(s) they would like to subscribe to. Only buildings available to the user in Optimize can be selected. Buildings can be searched using the search bar, selected in the building dropdown menu (this only appears once the user has clicked in the search bar, but they do not need to type anything), or all buildings a user has access to can be subscribed to at once. Selected buildings will appear as a green bubble-icon above the search bar, and can be removed by clicking the “x” on the bubble.
- Once the selections have been made select “Subscribe” in the top right of the pop-up window. A confirmation message will be shown once completed.
Steps for Specific Graphs on Performance Page
Users may also subscribe to some reports via specific graphs on the Performance page of the software. This may be faster than navigating through the User Settings menu.
Subscribing to Usage vs Baseline
- Navigate to Performance, then to the building you would like to subscribe to.
- Scroll down to the “Usage vs Baseline” chart and click on the three dots at the top right of the chart.
- A small menu will open with several options. Select the one that says “Subscribe to Report.” A new window will appear with several options to select from, with the same process as shown on the User Settings page.
- There are several other options which appear when clicking on the “Usage vs Baseline” three dot menu:
- Download csv: This downloads a csv file from your browser of the actual energy use and baseline energy use for the period of time shown in the Usage vs Baseline chart.
- Download pdf: This downloads a PDF file of an image of the Usage vs Baseline chart.
- Manage Baselines: This will open a new window with instructions on how to contact support@measurabl.com to request a new baseline model be trained.
Subscribing to Commodity & Weather Trends Reports
- Navigate to the first graph at the top of the Performance page. When users first select a building, or have just logged in and only have access to one building, the default title for this graph is “Electricity Demand”.
- If other commodities are selected to view in this graph, like steam mass or water use, the graph will take on that commodity’s name. The steps described in this section are the same regardless of which commodity is visible.
- Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the graph and select “Subscribe to Report”.
- A new window will appear titled “Commodity & Weather Trends.” Here you may select which commodity, or various commodities, you would like to subscribe to.
- Select the periodicity of the report: daily, weekly, or monthly. This will be how often the report will be sent to your inbox, and the ‘Delivery Time’ field will detail exactly when the report will be delivered depending on the selected period.
- Click on the green "Subscribe" button to complete the process.
Subscribing to the Daily Demand Profile Report
The Daily Demand Profile chart is the third graph on the Performance page, directly below the Usage vs Baseline chart. The Daily Demand Profile stacks each day’s electrical demand performance on top of one another for the past seven days, holding the 24-hour x-axis constant for all seven electrical data sets. This allows users to quickly see each day’s electrical performance relative to the other days of the week. The Daily Demand Profile chart is particularly useful at comparing building startup and shutdown times because of how each day’s profile is “stacked” on the others’.
Above is an example of a Daily Demand Profile chart, note that the entire graph takes place over a single 24-hour period such that the various profiles are layered on top of each other. This chart is one of the only charts in Optimize where users cannot change the date range, cannot change or add commodity types, and cannot zoom in or out of. Users can only see the past seven days’ electrical demand performance.
- To subscribe to a Daily Demand Profile report for the selected building, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the Daily Demand Profile chart, and select “Subscribe to Report”.
- A new window will appear confirming the building and report choice. No changes can be made by the user in this window, since no changes can be made at all to the Daily Demand Profile graphic.
- Reports will be delivered Monday morning at 7:00 AM local time to the user’s email inbox.
