Intro to Data Manager

Data Manager is a module within Measurabl’s Navigate product designed to offer comprehensive data quality insights and data management tools. It enables users to monitor and address data quality issues across various metrics, providing a unified view for holistic property data management.

Accessing Data Manager

To access Data Manager, users must be a Portfolio Member or Portfolio Manager within Core. Navigate to Data Manager using the 9-dot app switcher at the top left navigation bar of any Measurabl application.

Key Functionalities

Check

The Check section of Data Manager is dedicated to insights and workflows to help users manage data quality across their portfolio. 

Outliers

Upon entering Data Manager, users will see a table of all outliers identified across a portfolio of assets. By default these outliers are sorted by Usage (highest to lowest) and only include issues identified after January 1, 2024 (but you can filter back to January 1, 2022). This helps prioritize which issues to address first based on impact to a portfolio’s data quality.

From this table view you can:

1. Change the issue date range based on an outlier’s Period Start and Period End
2. Filter and sort on supported columns
3. Select which columns you’d like to be shown in the table
4. Export the table into an Excel spreadsheet

Gaps

Users will also be able to navigate to the gaps view from the application’s navigation bar. This view includes a table of gaps identified across the portfolio and by default are sorted by Expected Usage (highest to lowest) and only include issues identified after January 1, 2024 (but you can filter back to January 1, 2022). This helps prioritize which issues to address first based on estimated impact.

From this table view you can:

1. Change the issue date range based on a gap’s Period Start and Period End
2. Filter and sort on supported columns
3. Select which columns you’d like to be shown in the table
4. Export the table into an Excel spreadsheet

Manage

The Manage section of Data Manager is where users will be able to manage the data entities supported within Measurabl. This will eventually include Portfolios, Groups, Buildings, Meters, Spaces, and much more. 

Meters

In the Meters tab under Manage, users will be able to view their portfolio’s meters. Relevant information and data about each meter is available, including how many gaps and outliers Measurabl has identified. 

From this table view you can:

1. Click an outlier or gap value and be directed to Check’s Gaps or Outliers tab to further investigate an issue
2. Change the issue date range based on a gap’s Period Start and Period End
3. Filter and sort on supported columns
4. Select which columns you’d like to be shown in the table
5. Export the table into an Excel spreadsheet

Buildings

In the Buildings tab under Manage, users will be able to view their portfolio’s buildings. Relevant information and data about each building is available, including how many gaps and outliers Measurabl has identified and the impact those outliers have on the building’s usage.

From this table view you can:

1. Click an outlier or gap value and be directed to Check’s Gaps or Outliers tab to further investigate an issue
2. Change the issue date range based on a gap’s Period Start and Period End
3. Filter and sort on supported columns
4. Select which columns you’d like to be shown in the table
5. Export the table into an Excel spreadsheet
