Assign Issues
You can change the assignee of an issue when inspecting an individual Outlier or Gap on the Meter Detail Page.
- Navigate to a Gap or Outlier from the respective view in the Check section of Data Manager
- Click the “Edit” button in the Meter Reading side panel that opens
- Change the “Issue Assignee” to a user in the dropdown
- Property Managers are listed first in the list with “(Property Manager)” appended to their name for easy reference
- Remaining users are listed in alphabetical order by last name
- Click Save
Review Assigned Issues
Step 1: Review Email Notifications
As a user who has been assigned one or more issues, you will receive an email notification summarizing the Outliers and Gaps assigned to you.
Note that it can take up to 30 minutes to receive an email from when the issue was assigned to you in the application. This is done to avoid sending individual emails for each issue assigned; instead, assignments are batched across a 30 minute window and summarized in one email for easy review.
Step 2: Review Assigned Issue from Email
In the email notification you receive for assigned issues, all issues assigned over a 30 minute window will be noted (“You’ve been assigned the following 12 new issues…”) but only 5 of them will be displayed to avoid lengthy, unreadable emails.
Each assigned issue will contain:
- Issue Name, e.g. “High Usage”
- Building Name
- Meter Name
- Reading Period
- Assigned By, i.e. who assigned the issue to you
- Recommended Action, with a hyperlink to take action on the issue in Data Manager
Step 3: Review All Assigned Issues from Email
While only up to 5 assigned issues are displayed fully in the email, you can easily review all assigned issues by clicking the “View All Assigned Gaps” or “View All Assigned Outliers” buttons at the bottom of the email.
Step 4: Review All Assigned Issues in Data Manager
At any time you can review all assigned issues to you (or anyone else) within Data Manager by going to either the Gaps or Outliers table in the Check section and filtering by the “Issue Assignee” column.
